Show and Move the Visuals Window
Use a live server on macOS with a routed visual. The native window opens on the machine running the server, so use that machine’s display controls.
Route a visual and open the window
Section titled “Route a visual and open the window”use "std/visuals" as gfx;let picture = gfx.Noise("background");picture >> screen;screen.show_window();PLAY;Evaluate this in the live session. Alternatively, run RESONON: Open Visuals in VSCode after
routing the visual. Calling show_window() again while the window is open does nothing.
Move and resize it
Section titled “Move and resize it”Drag the window’s title bar to the target display. Drag an edge or corner to resize it. Use the
macOS green window button, or Ctrl+Cmd+F, to enter native fullscreen; use the shortcut again to
leave it. There is no Resonon window-position API.
Window size scales the presented picture. To change supersampling quality, evaluate
screen.set_quality(2) and check GPU load and playback; higher quality increases rendering work.
Close and reopen it
Section titled “Close and reopen it”Close the window with its normal close button. To display the routed graph again, evaluate
screen.show_window() or use RESONON: Open Visuals. For output without a live window, use
Render Visuals to Frames.
Your First Shader builds a visual from source; Screen lists the presentation methods.
